Valentine for Dad

This might be a little confusing, but my girls asked for a pop-up card for their dad this year, and instead of buying a $1,000,000 card (ok, I may be exaggerating a little), I thought I'd make my own.  So, here it is, and I'll try my best to explain how to make the pop-up.
Pop-Up How To:
1. Print out both pages and color it!
2. Cut out the around the three hearts
3. Fold the heart drawing in half with the picture facing you (make sure you do a good job folding down the middle or the pop-up won't work!)
4. Fold along the sides where the two little hearts touch the big heart
5. Fold the front of the card (the haiku part) in half
6. Place the folded heart inside the folded card, and touch the bottom point to the inside seam
7. Glue one little heart to the inside of the card
8. Put glue on the other little heart and close the card, making sure everything will close properly
9. Open it up!  If I've explained everything well, enough and you've been able to decipher my gibberish, it should look like this:

For those who would rather have the folded one, I have that too.  So, here it is:
*Remember to download the pictures to your computer before you print!!  Don't print from straight from your browser or the size will be funky and the folds won't work.

Book of Mormon Spot It

For Christmas, we received the game Spot It.  We have not stopped playing it. It's basically a matching game,  but...more fun. So, I decided I'd give a shot at making a Book of Mormon Spot It game . The way you play is this: Each player gets a card. You flip one card from the main deck into the middle, and you try to find the picture on that card that matches yours. When you find it, you yell out the name of the picture and add that card to your pile. The first person to find their match, wins the card. Flip over another card from the deck into the middle and continue until you've used all the cards. Whoever has the most cards at the end wins! Here is a "Glossary" so you know what each of the pictures is actually supposed to be. They each correspond with a scripture.  You can download a PDF of the game here . Enjoy! P.S. I scream! You scream! We all scream for...the alphabet?  These can be felties, magnets, or just plain paper.  It's pretty simple.  Cut out the ice cream and the cones, bust out your crayons, color and match the upper case with the lower case.  Enjoy!

Book of Mormon Swap Blocks

Taking some inspiration from these super cute olliblocks ,  I made some Book of Mormon Swap blocks! You can print these out and glue them to one inch blocks, but since I want to use these in Sacrament Meeting and not be super loud, I turned them into magnets! First, download the swap blocks  here . Then just print, cut, stick to 1" magnetic tape, and cut again. Then, to make these super portable, and as well as have a surface to play on, (You know, if you actually get to sacrament and don't sit on a metal chair ) I put them all in a cute little altoids tin. Voila!  Enjoy!
